You can’t help but asked yourself “why” everytime when you come across news like this: “Girl’s race with express train ends in death”. The headline itself is tragic.
I can’t understand why do people cross railway tracks instead of using the proper pedestrian crossing that’s provided. Is it because you want to save yourself a few minutes by risking your life, crossing on the railway tracks? Even if you do cross the railway tracks (which you shouldn’t really), obviously you can hear the train if it’s coming as it will sound its horn, common sense would have ask you not to cross the tracks. Why did this girl run across the platform? Because she believe she could make it?
I’m lost for words :shock:.

The authorities are just waiting for an accident like this to happen before fencing the place up. It is the same all over the world and some people just couldn’t help taking great risk for nothing. It takes all kind to make the world I suppose.

Well, I’ve been on tracks. We use to walk them and such… so someone crossing the tracks not using a ped. crossing isn’t out of the ordinary for me… most places around here don’t have ped. crossing unless perhaps you are right in the middle of town and most towns don’t have tracks… so, anyway.
How tragic, indeed about that girl. One will never know why, I guess. I am sure she knew she couldn’t outrun it… it has to be really close to her and surely she knew.. I’d guess anyway. Maybe she wanted to commit suicude? WHo knows. Her poor family…
