Today is my Mum’s birthday. Rang her this morning as I was on my way to work. My family and relatives has already celebrated her birthday on Sunday as Dad had an appointment dinner with a client tonight. He had forgotten about Mum’s birthday!! Oooops :yuck:.

However, Dad took Mum out for lunch today with my sister, in order to make it up to her. Mum sms me in the afternoon with the following message:

Today for the first time in my life I received a bouquet of roses from your dad.

Once I read that, I instantly called my Mum on her mobile!!! Please do not ask me why this is such a big deal because it is a big deal to me and my family!! As far as I can remember, Dad never bought Mum any flowers before!! Haha. And Him buying a bouquet of roses for my Mum is like as if the cow really jumped over the moon!!!

Anyway, whether it’s coincidental or not, it’s not up to us to say. Dad happened to stop in front of a florist while my Sister went down to the stationary shop to get some pens. Dad just casually ask my mum to pick a nice bouquet of flowers from the florist.

I know he didn’t actually went down to get it himself but at least it’s a start!! I so feel like calling him now just to tease him but too bad, he’s still out at the dinner. Probably will wait tomorrow then.

My Dearest Mummy,

Today is a very special day as you were born on this day years ago. For the past 3 years, I was unable to be there with you, to celebrate this special day. I’m really sorry. Somehow, I wish I could make it up to you.

Mummy, I just want you to know that I miss you dearly and I love you very much.
