I’ve been wanting to knit a coat for Coco for quite some time already. It is actually quite a challenge as I’ve never ever knitted a garment before. Been knitting crazily the past whole week and especially the weekends.
This pattern starts from the neck band and I’m proud to say I’ve knitting all the way to the leg openings. Now I’ll just have to shaped the centre edges. The real challenge is drawing near, where I’ll have to pick up stitches all along the edges for the back band, side bands and around the leg openings. I really hope I’ll be able to do it correctly.
Willl keep you all posted!!

Hey Michelle that is coming along nicely, great job:-)
Oh, Coco is so lucky!!!! You are doing a stunning job - this is a big step up from a scarf!!! I can’t wait to see Coco modelling it!!!
It is FANTASTIC Michelle!! Coco looks such a treat in this. Its great for me to see this on Coco too because I think this pattern might fit Bloke now that I see it on Coco (similar shaped dogs). :o) Well done. You should feel very proud of yourself!!
Great job, Michelle - now that you have knitted your 1st garment on your own. You are definitely a gifted knitter! Loved the new blog that you have just done for Shazza Knits. I have recently attempted & designed my own blog - check it out at http://www.1morerow.blogspot.com - it’s basic but it’s a start. Your comments will be most welcome. Happy knitting.
Ann:-D
