Project 30: Ju Lee’s Grey Scarf

Pattern: Just a simple rib 4 and reverse rib 4 every 4 rows to create the squares pattern
Yarn: 3 balls of Moda Vera Nicholas Colour #92 from Spotlight
Needles: 8 mm

As you all know, I knitted Ju Lee a Potato Chip Scarf last month and she absolutely loved it. One of the greatest sense of satisfaction is when you hear from the recipient of your knitted gift, that they they like it very much. I was sort of in cloud 9. What more could I do then to knit her another scarf :) .

Yes, I guess I do spoil her. Probably because we haven’t see each other in years? Anyway, I’m short of yarn. Boo hoo hoo  . I should have bought 3 balls of yarn and not 2 :grr:. Wanted to go to Spotlight later but my other half drove my car to work (he works from 4pm till late) means I can’t go out. This is what he said, “You’re not feeling well so you should stay at home and rest.” Sigh, every Thursday night I go out night shopping. Today is one exception. Probably it’s good for my wallet too. At least I won’t have anything to add up to my stash??

Back to the scarf, it’s just a very simple pattern that I whipped up as I’m pretty bored of garter stitch. Therefore, I just cast on 16 stitches, K4 and P4 till end of 4 rows, and then reverse the pattern for another 4 rows, just to create the squares effect. Don’t think you can see it very cleary in the photo below. Blame my bad photography skills. :yuck:

The colour is really nice too. I dont think I have seen that at Spotlight. Might have to go look for it and check it out.

Ju Lee’s Grey Scarf is looking great – I ll have to see if I can see the yarn next time Im at spotlight – is it a pure wool or a mix?

They’ve had a huge wool sale here and the shelves are bare  I went looking for some decent yarn the other day but they had nothing :grr: I wish we had a huge bargain wool factory here. ;-)
