Winterland In Shen Yang

Not quite sure if I told you all about my recent trip to China to visit my partner’s family. As the weather lately in Perth is really hot (it reached 42 degrees celcius yesterday!! :yuck:), right now, I wish I’m still in Shen Yang.

You’ll know why by looking at the following photos below. His family took us to the snow mountains and we had quite a bit of fun there. We played on the snow tube and on the first photo, you can see us sliding down the snow covered hill. It was a lot of fun!! However, the hard part was dragging the tubes up to the top of the hill ourselves!! We were practically panting by the time we reached the top but the thrill of sliding down again is just exhilirating!!

Sliding Down The Hill

I think the temperature there was roughly about minus 20 degrees Celcius. You can see how thick our winter jacket is. Also, my Sister was wearing a face mask as she couldn’t really take the cold, especially her face. Does that mask reminds you of SARS?? :-P

Lastly, after playing hard, we had some local snacks. It is called Bing Tang Hu Lu which is sugar-coated haw-on-a-stick. I really like it a lot and it tastes a little sweet and sour :-P.
