I’ve been a bad blogger but not a bad knitter  . Been knitting everyday and at last, I finally got something to show you. It’s just a simple bolero that I’ve been knitting for the past few weeks. Weekend was spent knitting and frogging, knitting again and frogging again, and finally knitting and no more frogging. That was quite a relief as I almost already had the pattern printed on my head from all those repeats.
Yes, I read the sleeves pattern wrongly. Was meant to decrease on each end, I only decrease on one end. By the time I realised the mistake, it was too late. Off to the frog pond. Second sleeves was knitted on the remaining yarn from the 1st sleeve. Thought I was smart enough and figure that it might be enough for another sleeve. Boy was I wrong. Only 5 more rows to go and I was left it half a metre of yarn. Off to the frog pond again.
I finished knitting both the fronts and back quite some time ago. I also learn how to bind off using the three needle bind off for the first time too. This method was recommended by Ann for the shoulder seams. I’m so happy that the seams look so neat and the method was really easy as well. Also, I followed Ann’s method of knitting the bolero, as in both the fronts and back in one piece. That means, no side seams!! Yay!!
Anyway, was having some issues while trying to photograph my process. You will know what I mean when you look at them. :grr: I was pretty annoyed.

You will really appreciate your bolero when it is all put together after putting so much work into it! It looks lovely.
The front & back looks great, so now it will be just the sleeves. I am sure it will all be put together soon - unfortunately can’t attend this Sat’s session as going to a concert, so please post a pic. Good luck on the sleeves.
Ooh, the Jo Sharp bolero! That’s a lovely bolero, and yours is looking good too! The colour is gorgeous.

Love the color of your bolero! you must post a picture wearing so we can get the full effect
I mailed your package containing the 2 skeins of Interlacement Tokyo. Happy knitting! This is a good alternate yarn to use for the clapotis pattern posted on knitty.com if you are interested… the yarn is so soft. Thanks again for the design!
