A Little Bit Of Lace

Don’t get too excited. I’m not referring to lace shawl. No. Those are too challenging for me. I might try knitting them one day? Anyway, here are some sneak peak.

Lace Panel

There might not seem to be a lot of lace there but at least it’s a start for me and I’d consider it a milestone :P . This sweater is knitted with the Rowan All Seasons Cotton yarn that I’ve bought last year. I’ve already finished knitting the front and back as I’ve modified the pattern a little bit so that I can knit both the front and back as one piece, in the round. No side seams!!!

Front & Back

I did got stuck in the pattern especially while shaping the sleeves cap but after ringing the Jo Sharp hotline, I got it figured out. Another two thumbs up for myself, don’t you :D agree? I also modified the sleeves so that I can knit it in the round too!! No seams again except for joining the sleeves to the body!!!

Anyway, after so many modifications, I just hope that this sweater will turn out alright. If not, I’ll be so devastated. Just in case you didn’t know, this is indeed my first sweater. Off to knit the remaining sleeve!!

Ooops, I left the comment on the wrong post; in my blog the comment button is at the end of the blog, not the start. Anyway, as I said there, you have done well, congratulations. I love that pattern, and if I wasn’t so “big” I’d look at knitting it for myself.
