Oh No!!!

Oh dear. I think my computer is dying soon althought it’s only 4 years old. During the weekend, my computer just froze for no apparent reason!!! Not just once but countless times!! I think I restarted my computer that night for more than 10 times!!! :yell: :yell: :yell:

I really really hope that it can last until next year as I just don’t have that spare $$$ to buy another computer for the time being. Anyway, I think I better start backing up my files now. Eeeeks!!! :ouch:

Apart from that, I guess from this moment on, I should start saving for another computer just in case it really is going to die on me. Laptop or desktop?? Sigh…

Noooo, that is scary news……. It wasn’t long ago since I was out of a PC at home for months. :c

Anyways, since you’ve most probably already scanned for viruses (and a second opinion from an online virus scanner), adware, spyware - then it sounds like what I had experienced too - a dying hard drive. :c

Fortunately, you’re able to back up all your stuff. Hard drives are super cheap nowadays, so if that really is the problem you’ll hopefully have a nice healthy pc up and running again for very little money.

    Hope all goes well!

Oh noes! I’m really sorry to hear that… but the good news it the laptop hasn’t totally konked out so you can still do some last-minute data backups. Did you try checking the laptop fan? Last time my laptop kept having problems because of the faulty fan that caused the CPU temperature to rise so high that it shuts down automatically after 30 minutes of usage.

Anyway it’s 4 years old already… maybe it’s time to get a new one and scrap the old one! Do you have any shops nearby that helps you recycle your laptops (and pay you some money for returning the laptop for recycle?), because in Singapore we have the cash-converters which takes back laptops and “convert” them to money, although the money you get is of a very small amount.

If you intend to buy a new laptop, don’t buy immediately if the laptop has a built-in webcam / is said to be Vista compatible. This is because many of such webcams come in really low resolution and Vista compatible means being able to support the very BASIC features of Vista which is very dumb. Yea. So do check with the sellers before buying!

Talk about bad luck. The very next day I posted a comment, my last remaining PC died on me too. :C

I hope you got your backup done cause I failed miserably. SIGH.

    Later.
