Must Knit Faster

Mr. Postman has been good to me lately. I received another parcel today and it’s from my Secret Pal. This is my second package from her and again, it never fails to brighten up my face!!

2nd Package from SP10

My Secret Pal has put in so many yummy goodies in this package!! Firstly, there’s three skeins of lovely coloured yarns that she got from Paris. According to her, it’s a traditional French brand. It’s called Plassard Versatile and it’s 100% wool. The texture of the yarn is something like thick and thin yarn. I’m thinking about “My so called scarf”

Next, she got something for my sweet tooth. It’s chocolate and gummi bears that she bought when she was in Belgium!! :P There is also a cute rabbit magnut that she bought in Paris too. I’ve put it on my fridge :laidback: . I hope one day I will have enough magnets to cover my fridge!! :yuck:

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that when I opened the package, it smells so nice!! That’s because she has put in a bar of pink grapefruit soap that she bought from Bodyshop in England. Lastly, I got a cute green chibi and my very own labels that read “Handknit by Michelle”!! Now I can sew these labels onto my hand knitted clothes!! How cool is that!!! Thank you so much Secret Pal!!! You are so thoughtful and wonderful!!

My Own Labels

Anyway, I finally finished both the front and back of Leo. I have even do the three-needle bind off for the shoulders. I’ll be starting on the sleeves soon. I have less than two weeks before FH (Future Hubby) comes back!! Yikes!!! :dead: I really hope that I have enough time to knit both the sleeves and seam everthing up!! Do you think I should knit one sleeve at a time or do I knit both the sleeves at the same time??

Front & Back of Leo

Lastly, I desperately need a shawl for myself so that I can wear it together with my dress on the evening of our RoM. I have less than 2 months 1 week and 2 days. I have never knitted a shawl so this will be my first. I hope it will turn out alright and that I will be able to finish it on time. I bought a cone of 100% silk in foxglove colour from Colourmart a few months back. I guess it really comes in handy now for my shawl. I’m knitting the Shetland Triangle from Wrap Style.

Colourmart 100% Silk in Foxglove

I had a hard time starting the shawl. Everything was so fiddly and OMG!! The yarn is so thin!!! I bet it’ll take me ages!!! Anyway, so far so good. I’ve knitted about 20 rows now.

My Very 1st Shawl

I seriously need to knit faster!!! :o uch:

It will be faster to knit 2 sleeves at the same time so that they will match perfectly. The shawl is looking good – I am sure it will be gorgeous – love the color!
