Pink, Soft and Furry

Today, I wanna share with you something that is pink in colour, feels really soft and furry too  .

Firstly, I finally finished knitting a scarf for my swap pal (I joined the 100g Challenge in Ravelry). She wanted something light, airy and she loves pink (just like me), so I decided to knit her a scarf using 4 ply yarn. Mind you, all the scarves that I’ve knitted so far are all using DK weight yarns, sometimes even thicker. Therefore, this time around, it took me a lot longer to finish since it’s a finer yarn, knitted on smaller needles and of course, the yarndage is a lot longer too. However, the end result is absolutely gorgeous. Although it’s tedious to knit this scarf, and the pattern is a 4 row repeat, I just love the touch and feel of this scarf. I’m a little sad to part with it. Anyway, I hope my swap pal will like it.

Needles: 4.5 mm

Anyway, how many of you have knitted blankets before? Do you like the FO? I’ve been eyeing the Hemlock Ring Blanket and the Log Cabin Blanket for a very long time now. Since Bendigo is having a sale at the moment, I’m very tempted to order some yarns for those blankets. Do you think Bendigo Aran for Hemlock Ring Blanket and Bendigo 8 ply Cotton for Log Cabin Blanket sounds ok?

Ah…I always find it so hard to make decisions. Till ten, here are some cute photos of my furry babies. They were having so much fun in the backyard today. Erm. I think only Momo is enjoying himself. Coco is a bit upset since her big brother won’t give her the toy  .

The scarf is lovely & I do understand why it’s so hard to part with it. I think your yarn choices for the blankets are good. I hope to knit the Hemlock Ring in Aran one day…
