First of all, Happy New Year everyone
I am never one to write new year’s resolution. Never have the habit and I don’t thnk I’ll start very soon either. For something more interesting and since this is the first post for the year 2009, I’m pretty happy to show you the first FO of the year.

Pattern: Frock Camisole by Katie Himmelberg
Yarn: 5 skeins of Spotlight Basics Yarn Bee Article #143, Down to Earth 50/50 Cotton Soy
Needles: 4.5 mm
Since it’s summer here now and the weather has been pretty hot the past few days, a tank top is perfectly suitable for this season. This camisole only cost me $9.95 as I bought the yarn when it’s on sale
To be honest, I’m actually quite surprise with the quality of this yarn. It has a really nice drape too. Overall, I’m very happy with this camisole although the stockinette stitch did bore me after some time.
I am never a huge fan of black colour. You will hardly find much black attire in my wardrobe at all
. The only reasons I do have a few pairs of black pants, black skirts, and black heels are mainly for work purposes. So here’s a pair of my black heels that I bought just for work. It’s pretty comfortable since it’s a Diana Ferrari.

So, how is your wardrobe like? Does it have lots of blacks and whites or very colourful? I’m sure you can tell by now that mine is definitely very colourful

Love the new top, it looks very cool(temperature-wise and trendy-wise) but I do agree the stocking stitch could get boring, but what a bargain!!

So pretty!!!
I have a mixture of bright colours and dark colours in my wardrobe. I usually wear bright colours during the hotter months and dark colours during the winter months.

I’ve always preferred to wear bright colours and tend to stay away from dark colours except for jeans and work attire ie pants, skirts, suits.

That camisole is really pretty on you! I’ve only seen it in the magazine, and it seems a bit … stiff and tent-like, and not drapy and flowing. It looks great!
I wear jeans. Jeans and cardigans, or jeans and sweaters. I have two dresses, but since I got my hair cut I don’t wear them anymore, and they’re quite thin so too cold to wear right now. I wish I had some prettier tops, I hope I can buy some soon with the money I earned over Christmas! I mainly wear blues and greens, a little white and yellow, and pink. But all the colour I own are t-shirts.. I should buy some colourful skirts.

Hey Jules, I don’t think my knitting is that impressive!! There are a lot more talented knitters out there

I love black! I think it’s a very sophisticated color when worn right (eg. not like a goth) plus it has the effect of slimming your body down.

Hey Katy, thanks for dropping by. As I mentioned earlier, I’m more of a colourful person. That’s why I hardly wear black and as I’m quite slim, I don’t really need the slimming effect

Hey Michelle! Happy belated new year! I’m not a very big fan of black but I do adore earthy colours
some of them are dark brown and somewhat near to black though.
Oh, the tank top for summer looks gorgeous! You must have invested a lot of effort and time in getting it done – knitting really tests one’s patience and perseverance! I love the middle crease that extended through the entire height of the tank top – very stylish!
