Open Rib Socks

Since I started knitting about 4 years ago, this is the first time I’ve knitted something for my Dad. Daddy, so sorry to have kept you waiting for so long  but I hope that you will like this pair of socks :) . Now you’ll just wait to wait a few more months before you can put them on and keep your toes toasty warm  .

Open Rib Socks

Pattern: Open Rib by Charlene Schurch from Sensational Knitted Socks
Yarn: 0.7 skeins of ONline Supersocke 100 Cotton Summer Color
Needles: 2.75 mm

Once, a colleague of mine said this when he found out that I knit, “Why are you knitting? You’re not old. Knitting are for Grandmas!!” I’m pretty sure a lot of people who are not too familiar with knitting or other handicrafts have the same opinion that only grandmas are knitters. How stereotypical. I came across this video in Ravelry and I really think this is one of the reason why the whole world should knit  .

The socks are pretty and looks really one of a kind. Definitely not something which can be seen outside. I’m sure your Dad is going to love it. :D

Hand knitted socks are always one of a kind and it’ll be hard to find the same pair elsewhere as it depends on which pattern and which yarn the knitter chooses to use :)

I didn’t think knitting had benefits. That’s awesome. That pair of socks you knitted looks adorable as well. I’m sure you’re daddy will feel oh so mushy inside when he gets it :)
