Flower Basket Shawl

Yes, it’s another shawl!! This time, it’s for my MIL. MIL and FIL are actually coming to Perth for the very first time end of this month. In fact, it’s actually their first time to Australia!! I’m half excited and half nervous. Why nervous you asked? Erm, well, you see, they speak Mandarin and I don’t understand a word of Mandarin and FIL don’t understand English either. MIL can speak some basic English but let’s just say, it’s hard communicating with them. Hahaha. It’ll be awkward for sure  .

Anyway, I’ve decided to knit something for MIL since I hardly get to see her. I hope she’ll like this shawl :) .

Pattern: Flower Basket Shawl Shawl by Evelyn A. Clark
Yarn: 1 skein of The Knittery Merino Slim Sock in Autumn
Needles: 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm

I got my sister to model it for me this time around. Lastly, so sorry for the lack of updates lately. As you can see, I’ve been busy knitting  .

Hubby might not be around the first few days they arrived in Perth so that’s the only hiccup we might have

You used to knit so many shawls. I guess now is the right time to start again? Btw, I’ve always love to wear shawls around the neck. A lot more trendy and stylish :)

You are a shawl knitting addict. You can speak Cantonese & they may understand it better than English (ha, ha…)

Nah, they do not understand Cantonese at all. It’ll be just like a duck and chicken :P
