My Favourite Things

I think I better do a quick recap of the past few weeks before I delay them any further  . As always, I like to keep things simple and love the acronym K.I.S.S. (keep it short and simple). As I’ve mentioned before, my parents in law came to visit us a few weeks ago but they’re already back in China now. Anyway, we did eat out pretty often, taking them to nice places and etc. but I did cooked a lot of meals too as they preferred home cook meals. I didn’t managed to take photos of every single meals I cooked but this particular dish is the one I’m most proud of as it was my first time cooking it and I got the thumbs up from everyone :) .

Char Siew

This has always been one of my favourite dishes. Char Siew, which is also known as BBQ Pork. However, I’m very fussy with my Char Siew. I don’t like those red coloured types of BBQ pork that some restaurant sells. I only like them when they’re sort of caramelised and a little burnt. Thinking about this makes me drool now  .

Food aside, it’s been great spending time together with everyone. Too bad they always seem so short though. Oh well, at least I always have my doggies to keep me company. Don’t you think Coco looks like a cuddly teddy bear?

Our Little Teddy Bear

Lastly, every year, towards the end of the year, Bendigo Woollen Mills have a sale on most of their yarns. I’d be a fool if I didn’t get my hands of some of their gorgeous yarns!!!!!

End of the Year Bendigo Haul

Yes, that is indeed a full basket of yarn :) . Shhhh…don’t tell my DH  .

Ooh, a basket full of yarn! :D I like the colours you chose, very “spring”. Is it spring yarns, too?

Hi Trinem They’re mostly cotton, cotton mix and 3 skeins of wool :)

I seriously have more than enough yarn at the moment and really do not need any more wool!! Or do I?

    Hi Ann,

It’s not realy grey in colour if you’re referring to the skein at the bottom row? It’s Bendigo Harmony in Sprite…it’s meant to be sort of green in colour
