Featherweight Cardigan

At last, I have a FO to show and it’s for myself :) . It has been quite sometime now since I knitted anything for myself and my oh my, this project took me quite awhile to finish. It took me approximately 4 months from start to finish but there were other projects in between and I did went away on a holiday for a few weeks. But I guess the end result is worth the wait and the effort.

Featherweight Cardigan

Featherweight Cardigan

Pattern: Featherweight Cardigan by Hannah Fettig
Yarn: Less than 1 cone of ColourMart Mohair/Merino 2/16 4ply wt in Fresa colourway
Needles: 4 mm

The only modifications I made to this pattern were:

  • Replace M1 with KFB instead.
  • Knit until 10” from underarm to bottom edge before the edging.
  • Worked feather and fan stitch (4 repeats) for body/hip edging instead of rib.
  • BO with 4.5 mm

However, If I were to knit this pattern again, I might knit less rows before I reach the underarm sections as it did grew a bit bigger after I blocked it and also knit a wider edging for the collar. Nevertheless, I’m still happy with the end results.

Hi Rain, the feather and fan edging is so much nicer and prettier compare to the normal ribbing edging. Are you going to knit this cardigan too?
