A few months ago, a friend of mine asked if I could knit a pair of fingerless mittens for her? Being such an avid knitter myself, how can I possibly say no?

Pattern: Koigu Wristers by fkd designs
Yarn: Opal yarn (no idea which Opal yarn as she provided the yarn)
Needles: 2.5 mm
This is the first time I’m using a sock yarn to knit a pair of fingerless mittens and it took me about 10 days to complete this since I’m not a very fast knitter
. Anyway, I just hope she’ll like it since she had no idea which pattern I was going to choose.

I love the pattern the colours make. I know they will be greatly appreciated!! I don’t think you are very slow at all.
It always feels like so much longer knitting with fingering weight, doesn’t it?? I’m knitting a whole cardigan in fingering and I’m not past the hem line yet!
They look gorgeous, well done!
Lovely mittens. It’s like knitting a pair of socks but I think it’s slightly faster.
Firstly, so sorry for the late reply
!!! And I’m glad she really did like the mittens!! Yay!!!
Hi Sasha!! How are you nowadays?? Miss you a lot
Anyway, I know what you meant by knitting with thin yarn. I recently finished knitting the Featherweight Cardigan using laceweight yarn and it feels like F.O.R.E.V.E.R.
Hi Ann, these mittens are definitely much faster than socks!! I actually quite like this pattern too. I might make a pair for myself for next year
