It’s been a crazy month as I’ve been busy knitting away!!! I’ve been so busy knitting that I almost forgot to show you the socks that I’ve finished last month!!!!!

Pattern: Los Monos Locos / The Crazy Monkeys by Jennifer O’Sullivan
Yarn: 0.83 skein of Zen Yarn Garden Bling Yarn (with 2% Silver)
Needles: 2.75 mm

I actually knitted a pair of Monkeys back in 2008 but it turn out a little tight for me so I ended up giving the pair away to my friend. I promised myself that I will knit another pair of Monkeys for myself one day and that one day turn out to be 3 years later!!! However, as I didn’t want to make the same pattern again, I decided on the purl-less version of monkeys and this time it fits me perfectly. Gotta love the Wendy’s gusset slip stitch heel. Short row heel just doesn’t fit my feet well at all unfortunately. So far this year I’ve knitted 2 pairs of socks for myself. The next 2 pairs will be for my in-laws .

Last but not least, I just finished a little baby vest yesterday and it took me only 4 days to knit it!!!!!! This little vest is way too cute!!! The only thing I modify from the pattern is replacing cables with a heart stitch pattern instead as I know cables will slow me down and I had to finish before today .
