This week has been a hectic week at work for me. It actually started since last week to be honest. Finally it’s the weekend and it’s not really less busy, not that I’m complaining. It is a beautiful day today, except that I was scheduled to do my Glucose Tolerance Test this morning at 8 am. Apart from being a 2-hour blood test, I was also told that I’ll be jabbed 3 times!!!??? I’ll be jabbed once when I arrived, then I’m being made to drink a small bottle of green stuff that is super sweet and wait for one hour before I’m being jabbed again, and wait another one more hour for my last jabbed. Little Princess was going crazy after I drank that green stuff. She must be high on the sugar!!! Anyway, both my arms were so sore after that. Right arm was jabbed twice so I asked her to use my left arm instead for the last jab. I hope there will not be another further blood tests after this. I think I have had enough of needles for now, especially today!!!

On another note, I did have something to look forward to after that. A dear friend of mine was throwing her baby shower today and it’s also the first baby shower that I’ve attended this year. As you all know by now, it won’t be me if I didn’t turn up with some handknitted gifts .

It was the first time I’ve knitted a BSJ using Bendigo Woollen Mills Harmony yarn and I must say, I quite like this yarn and really enjoy knitting with it!! I just wish they have more colours rather than just the 5 options that they have at the moment.

I recently came across this cute little baby bib pattern and thought of trying it out. Since it’s pretty hard to get worsted weight cotton in Australia, I decided to use one strand of Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton 8 Ply and one strand of Panda Regal 4ply.

Pattern: Grandmother’s Favorite Baby Bib by Merin McManus Collins
Yarn: 0.1 skein of Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton 8 Ply and 0.3 skein of Panda Regal 4ply in Marine Mix
Needles: 4.5 mm

This pattern is so easy that I can even remember it by heart now!! Looks like I might be making more of these too!!!!
