I originally CO this project back in April 2011 for the Colourmart’s Spring Summer contest on Ravelry but just like last year, I didn’t managed to finish it in time as I went away for a holiday. Nevertheless, I always say late is better than never .

I’d also like to mention that I’m absolutely in love with Colourmart’s extrafine merino!!! It’s so nice to knit with and it feels absolutely divine wearing it next to skin too!!!! This cardigan has become my favourite knit wear for winter this year. What’s your favourite winter wear this year?

At last, I have a FO to show and it’s for myself . It has been quite sometime now since I knitted anything for myself and my oh my, this project took me quite awhile to finish. It took me approximately 4 months from start to finish but there were other projects in between and I did went away on a holiday for a few weeks. But I guess the end result is worth the wait and the effort.

Pattern: Featherweight Cardigan by Hannah Fettig
Yarn: Less than 1 cone of ColourMart Mohair/Merino 2/16 4ply wt in Fresa colourway
Needles: 4 mm

The only modifications I made to this pattern were:

Replace M1 with KFB instead.

Knit until 10” from underarm to bottom edge before the edging.

Worked feather and fan stitch (4 repeats) for body/hip edging instead of rib.

BO with 4.5 mm

However, If I were to knit this pattern again, I might knit less rows before I reach the underarm sections as it did grew a bit bigger after I blocked it and also knit a wider edging for the collar. Nevertheless, I’m still happy with the end results.

I’ve got another FO to show before the end of this week. Actually, I managed to finish this cardigan last Sunday but haven’t gotten around taking pictures of it. Anyway, this is another one of my favourite cardigan at the moment. The pattern is really easy to follow and I knittd it top down. However, since I’m using a DK weight yarn instead of the Worsted weight yarn that they recommended, I’m knitting one size bigger instead to compensate the difference. I really love knitting with this Cleckheaton Country Silk Yarn, especially the tweedy texture!! It’s very soft and nice to wear too! I’m definitely going to buy more of this yarn if it’s ever on special!!!

Pattern: 28thirty by Sarah & Rachel
Yarn: 7.5 skeins of Cleckheaton Country Silk 8 Ply
Needles: 5 mm

Lastly, I just realised that I haven’t post any photos of my furry babies lately. They must be feeling neglected .

Oh well, looks like Momo is trying to give me some kisses. Guess he still loves his Mummy a lot!!!
