My Little Man

Time really flies. I can’t believe Momo is already 5 years old. If you look at it in terms of human years, he should be about 33 years old now. However, no matter how old he gets, he’ll always be my little boy :) He do acts like a little kid sometimes, being very cheeky and naughty, doing things he knows I don’t like but you can’t stay mad at him for long, not when he give you those sad face, with eyes pleading, “i’m sorry”.

My Dearest Momo

Anyway, I’m sure that you all still remember when I first planted my herb garden back in November? Well, some flourish and only one of them died. The unlucky plant was the coriander but it wasn’t really my fault. I saw Momo peed on it and the next day it turned brown and died  .

My Herb Garden

Fresh Harvest

After all the heard work of watering them diligently and feeding them with blood and bone, it’s time to harvest some of them. I cut some spring onions and red chillies so that I can used them in my cooking. I cooked black peper chicken stir-fry and I was over the moon  . I know I’m being silly but I’m just so happy that I can use some of my home grown herbs!!!!!

Stir-fry Black Pepper Chicken

It has been pretty hot and humid the past few days. I shouldn’t really complain much because those in the eastern states, especially in Victoria are having it a lot worst with bushfires and temperature soaring up to 45 degrees  . Hope the weather will be better for them soon.

Saturday Sky

We might be having thunderstoms in the next day or so. Skies are getting cloudy and sometimes it makes me feel gloomy as well. However, in such gloomy and cloudy times like this, there will always be a rainbow to cheer us up and brings a smile to our faces  .

End Of Spring

Spring has always been one of my favourite season and sad to say, it is almost the end of Spring now. Last week, there was a birthday bash at Mark’s place for the November boys and my DH was one of them. All of us had a blast and the highlight of the night was during the games session. (see photo below). Ah…Da Mer, you’re not so young anyway since you’re no longer twenty-something. Hehehe  .

November Boys's Birthday Bash

Anyway, after exploring Mark’s herb garden, I decided to create my very own herb garden too. Since the weather today is so beautiful, I went to Bunnings to buy some pots, potting mix, and of course, some herbs. I bought sweet basil, coriander, spring onions, and two chilli plants. Do you think 3 herbs in a pot is too much or too tight  ? Or should I just have 3 herbs in a pot? Erm, mind you, I really do not have a green thumb at all so I hope my effort and the money I spent today to start my herb garden, will not go to waste since the roses in my gardens are still alive and blooming  .

While I was gardenning, my babies were enjoying the sun too. It was a little easier snapping their photos today as they’re not moving too much!! What I like most about the two of them is that they both get along so well and I just love seeing both of them together!!

Lastly, after flashing my stash on the last post, someone reckons that they’re not even full and suggest that I should buy more yarn!! And buy more yarn I did  !!! Hahahaha!!! Ah…just kidding, I actually bought the yarns way before I flashed my stash. Anyway, here are the lot of yarns and I plan to use them for blankets. Oh well, hopefully I will have an FO to show you on the next post.

Some Greens & A Last Minute Project

My family knows that I don’t really have a green thumb. I’m totally not interested in gardening at all, especially weeding!!! My family came over for a visit sometime in August last year. They actually planted quite a lot of lovely flowers and a tree.

In order to proof that I’ve been putting a little bit of effort, here are two pictures of my beautiful yellow rose bush (a tiny one) and my little lemon tree. I’m very proud of them

Little Green Lemons

I attended my colleague’s wedding last Saturday. On Thursday, I realised that I didn’t have a matching bag to go with my dress. I don’t like those handbags that you carry around the shoulder as I find them quite inconvenient, especially for a cocktail style dinner. I decided to whip something really quick and easy. This little pouch is knitted using two strands of yarn held together (one from Moda Vera Trinity and one from the colourmart yarn).

Pattern: Soft Drawstring Pouch from Last Minute Knitted Gifts
Yarn: Moda Vera Trinity and ColourMart Silk 32/120NM DK weight
Needles: 5 mm

I improvised a little on the bag. I didn’t use the icords as per the pattern but I used ribbons instead :)
