It has been a few months since I last knitted a shawl. This shawl is made especially for my dearest Grandmother. My mum had been showing her the photos of all the shawls I’ve ever knitted and Grandmother asked her if I have any spare shawls that I don’t want so that she can have it. Silly Grandmother. Why would I give her things that I don’t want??? Of course I’ll knit her a shawl!!!! So here is that shawl I’ve knitted for her and I hope she’ll like it.

Pattern: Maia Shoulderette by Rosemary (Romi) Hill
Yarn: 0.87 skein of Wollmeise 100% Merino Superwash in Kurbis
Needles: 3.75 mm
Hopefully I’ll have time to knit another shawl for myself soon. There are so many to do projects on my list and most of them aren’t for me!!!!

Winter is long gone and it made me realised that I’ve not show you the cardigan that I’ve managed to finish during winter and I had a chance to wear it a few times before the weather gets too warm
.

Pattern: Greenfield Cardigan by Melissa LaBarre
Yarn: 2.3 cones of ColourMart 100% Extra Fine Merino 10/28NM DK Weight in e11 girlie pink
Needles: 4 mm
I originally CO this project back in April 2011 for the Colourmart’s Spring Summer contest on Ravelry but just like last year, I didn’t managed to finish it in time as I went away for a holiday. Nevertheless, I always say late is better than never
.
I’d also like to mention that I’m absolutely in love with Colourmart’s extrafine merino!!! It’s so nice to knit with and it feels absolutely divine wearing it next to skin too!!!! This cardigan has become my favourite knit wear for winter this year. What’s your favourite winter wear this year?

Little Manisha (Felicia‘s daughter) turned one today and we had a nice picnic by the river in East Perth. Thank God the weather had been kind to us today as it has been raining for the last few days. We were quite lucky to get a bit of sunshine every now then. Had such a lovely time. Felicia, thanks for inviting me!!!
Anyway, since it’s her first birthday, of course I had to knit something for her birthday
.

Pattern: Tropical Lily by Georgie Hallam
Yarn: 2.75 skein of Anchor Magicline
Needles: 4.5 mm
I love knitting for babies as they’re such cute and quick projects!!! Anyway, hope they’ll like the little present and that it will fit her well
. Here’s a photo of the little birthday girl. Isn’t she cute?
