Finally I’ve got some knitterly updates for all of you and it covers from head to toe!!! Where do you want me to start first? Top to bottom or bottom to top? Hmm…time to make a decision. Ah well, I’ll start with the project that I finished first.

Hang on!! Before that, let me present you Blueberry Leo, modeled by my hunky hubby!! Yes, he was home and I managed to persuade him to let me take a picture of him in the sweater. Perfect fit!!! Not bad for a first man sweater I saw!!

Back to FOs, the No 1 project is of course the Lady Eleanor Entrelac Stole for my dearest Mummy, knitted with the gorgeous Noro Silk Garden. Love the colours of the yarn but I’m not too fond of the little pieces of twigs in between the yarn every now and then. They annoyed me a lot but the colours just won me over. Therefore, I shall persevere. Entrelac isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. It’s actually very easy once you get the hang of it!! Wonder why I didn’t start the project earlier as I bought the yarn ages ago!!! Anyway, Mum loves it but she left it here in Perth!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pattern: Lady Eleanor Entrelac Stole from Scarf Style
Yarn: 9 and 1/3 balls of Noro Silk Garden (Colour #205)
Needles: 6 mm

Since I only used 9 and 1/3 balls of the Noro Silk Garden for the stole, I used the leftover yarn for Calorimetry. I modified the pattern a little bit by casting only 80 stitches and I’m very glad I did that!! It’s a perfect fit for my small head now!! Now I can use it whenever I have bad hair days!! Hahaha .

Pattern: Calorimetry
Yarn: 1/3 ball of Noro Silk Garden (Colour #205)
Needles: 5 mm and 6 mm

Lastly, I’ve finally managed to finish the remaining of the Waving Lace Socks after such a looooooooooooooooong time. I put it aside while knitting Lady E as I was hoping to finish it before the big day.

Pattern: Waving Lace Socks from Favorite Socks
Yarn: The Knittery 4ply Sock: Merino Cashmere (Orange Blossom)
Needles: 2.5 mm

Now I’m planning to start another pair of socks using my stash yarn but don’t think I’ll cast on yet as I’ve got two projects on hand at the moment. Anyway, what type of heel do you recommend? I’ve done a few pairs using Wendy’s Gusset Heel for toe up socks. What are the other easy type of heels for toe up apart from short rows?

My FH has already flew back to work in Kalgoorlie and I won’t be seeing him for another 7 weeks. I know we’ll be apart for a very looooooong time but I have my furry babies and knitting to keep me company. Yes, my knitting has resumed and progress has been slow and steady. However, before we move into my knitting progress, do look at what Mr. Postman has brought me today?

There are two packages and the big box is a package from my SP 10 and I’ve been waiting for this package for more than a week already and I’m superly duperly excited!! Would you look at all the yummy goodies that’s inside the box??

Firstly, there’s two beautiful skeins of Hand Jive Knits Nature’s Palette Yarn, Fingering Weight in Seafoam colour. I haven’t really thought what I’m going to knit with this yarn yet, but most probably it will either be a pair of socks or a shawl.

Secondly, look at what my thoughtful SP 10 got me!! Knit Simple Magazine Spring/Summer 2007 issue and Last Minute Knitted Gifts, which has been on my wishlist since last year!!! Isn’t she nice???   I’ve been eyeing that book for ages!!!

Thirdly, she even got me some non-knitting bits and pieces such as a really pretty notepad, some mints in a really cool metal box, and a make-up bag that has pretty butterflies embroidery on it.

Lastly, here’s a special message to my SP 10:

Dear SP10 aka Genevieve, thank you so much for being such a wonderful SP to me. You’ve really spoiled me with so many lovely goodies, whether they’re knitterly goodies or not. I love every single item that you’ve bought for me. “Thanks” just ain’t enough but I couldn’t think of any other way of showing you how grateful I am. Although this round of SP has ended, I hope that we will still keep in touch and that our friendship will continue to grow  .

In addition to that, I have four skeins of yummy yarns from The Knittery. From left to right, I have 8 ply DK Merino in Grace, Earth, Sea breeze and 4 ply Sock Merino in Petals. My colleagues have asked me to knit them some scraves and I’ll be using the 3 skeins of DK Merino. As for the 4 ply Sock Merino, I’m thinking of using it to knit myself another shawl, once I’ve finished knitting my first shawl of course!!

The sleeves on my Leo has been growing soooooooooooooooo slowly. I feel like as if it’s taking me ages!!! I wonder when will I even reach the sleeves cap!! It’s getting a bit monotonous at the moment. Luckily, I have another project going on at the same time, which is the Shetland Triangle. I’ve just finished the 6th repeats but it’s still looking quite tiny. I got a feeling that I’ll have to knit quite a few more repeats to make the shawl into the size that I want. However, that also means a lot more stitches per row!!! :yuck: I wonder when will I finished these two!!

If you all still remember, a few months ago, sometime in February, I helped Ailsa of Pick Up Sticks with her blogger template and gave it a brand new look. In exchange for the template, Ailsa spoiled me rotten with gifts!!!

First of all, she got me a copy of Victorian Lace Today. I’m definitely not a lace/shawl knitter yet, but I hope that I’ll be able to knit at least a few things out of that book!! There are a few projects that I like  but I’m not quite sure if I got the know hows.

Secondly, I got another surprise parcel today (hehe…not really a surprise because Ailsa did email me to let me know that she has posted the parcel)!! However, they’re gorgeous gorgeous presents!! When I opened the package, I saw a beautiful knitted gift bag in pink :yuck: (I think it’s the Bridal Purse) and inside, I found two lovely skeins of Eki Riva Babysilk in 8 ply, and one beautiful skein of Artisan NZ Merino Lace Weight Yarn.

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! I love them all very much!!!
