A Fantastic Week

OMG! I just realised that I haven’t update my blog for almost a month now? Does that mean I’ve been a lazy girl? However, there has always been a little knitting everyday. I guess I never like to blog when I don’t have any FO to show. Now that I’m updating, I suppose that means I do have a FO to show?

First stop, there has been lots of raving about the Lincraft Bamboozle and Spotlight Moda Vera Bamboo / Cotton yarn. So I thought to myself, of course I’m not going to miss out on this and decided to jump on the bandwagon, bought myself 2 skeins of the Moda Vera Bamboo / Cotton yarn. Thought I’d tried it out as a dishcloth. I gave one of it to Julie (she’s the office receptionist…and also the Director’s wife) and just told me today that it works fantastic as a dishcloth!! I think I will be buying more of them soon??

I’m a very happy happy girl!! Anyway, the only modifications that I made are using Knitty Magic cast on and Wendy’s Gusset Heel methods, instead of the short row toes and heels recommended in the pattern.

TGIF

TGIF!! :D Thank God It’s Friday!! Firstly, I’m glad that I finally finished the pair of Jaywalker socks that I started back in April?? Hehehe. After I did the 1st sock, I sort of got unmotivated and left it to be an UFO. Indeed, it was my first UFO. Anyway, I finally have a pair. Alas, the sock yarn and the pattern is not a good combination. The yarn is really nice but it’s not very stretchy and the pattern doesn’t help as well. In the end, this pair of Jaywalker doesn’t fit me. So I’ve decided to give it away to a friend of mine. At least I know it’ll have a good home  .

Jaywalker Toe Up

Secondly, a package was waiting for me in my letter box when I reach home from work today. Yippee!! It’s the second package from my SP 11!!! And this time around, the theme colour is blue!! There are so many yummy yarns in there!! Thank you so much SP!!! I really like all the stuff you got me!! Of course, Eeyore is super cute!! I have got to show you the card!!

SP11 - 2nd Package

Cute Eeyore

Anyway, back to the yarns, all the labels are in Finnish, therefore, I don’t really understand what’s written there. So I’m just going to assume. There’s two balls of mohair type of yarns, 1 huge ball of sock yarn and there’s another ball of ‘I don’t know what it is” type of yarn  . Hopefully, my SP will let me know soon  .

Blue is the Theme

SP, thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! I like everything that you sent!! Can’t wait to find out what’s in the 3rd package!!!

The postie brought me a pink package today and it’s all the way from Finland!!! I’ve totally no idea how faraway Finland is as my geography knowledge is really bad. And I do really mean very very very bad. Anyway, let’s stop talking about my brain :yuck: .

Look at the huge pink package!! Isn’t my SP very sweet?? Not only were the wrappers is in pink. Most of the goodies that she sent are also in pink!! Looooooooooooooook!! :cute: :cute: :cute:

There’s one huge ball (150g) of Nalle Colori yarn which can be used for either scarf, mittens, socks, etc. as it’s machine washable (was told by my SP in the cute Winnie The Pooh postcard), two balls of merino wool in different shades of pink, two balls of alpaca (oooh…I’ve never knitted with alpaca before and it feels so soft), some yummy chocolates in pink wrappers as well, and a very cute and sparkly Winnie the Pooh stickers.
