I’ve been eyeing on this pattern since it was first released beginning of this year. However, this pattern is a little daunting to me. Knitting with lace weight yarn on big needles is not easy at all. Since I used long tailed cast on with 7 mm needles (which is one size bigger than the recommended needle), I thought that will be loose enough. WRONG!!! Of course, I only found out when I was blocking the shawl. The points are not sharp enough
and I also noticed a few mistakes too. I hope the recipient won’t mind. Therefore, if I were to make this again, I’ll probably use a lace cast on instead.

Pattern: Annis by Susanna IC
Yarn: 20 grams of ColourMart Silk 2/60NM Cobweb Weight
Needles: 5 mm and 7 mm
I just noticed I had two FOs in a month. I gather that is a productive month??

Pattern: Citron by Hilary Smith Callis
Yarn: Handpaintedyarn.com Merino Lace in Citrus
Needles: 4 mm
This shawl is knitted for a dear friend of mine. She actually doesn’t know that I was knitting something for her at all. It will be a belated birthday present for her so I really do hope she’ll like it. She’s a knitter herself so I’m pretty sure she’ll appreciate a hand knitted gift
.
This pattern is really really simple to make where towards the end, it was getting a little boring because there’s like 400 over stitches per row!! Nevertheless, I really do love the ruffles. I may in fact make this again, if I do not so many projects going on!!!

Finally I have one FO to show you since last month!!
I know knitting has been slow the past few weeks but hopefully I’ll start getting back in my usual rhythm soon. Woo Hoo. Actually, I was rushing to finish this shawl and thank God I managed to finish it this morning!! Actually, it was finished during midnight last nite. Hehe. I was meeting the recipient this afternoon. She came all the way from KL!! Was so glad to meet her. I knew her since we were 5 years old!!
OMG, I feel I’m so old now.
