Yes, it’s another shawl!!
This time, it’s for my MIL. MIL and FIL are actually coming to Perth for the very first time end of this month. In fact, it’s actually their first time to Australia!! I’m half excited and half nervous. Why nervous you asked? Erm, well, you see, they speak Mandarin and I don’t understand a word of Mandarin and FIL don’t understand English either. MIL can speak some basic English but let’s just say, it’s hard communicating with them. Hahaha. It’ll be awkward for sure
.
Anyway, I’ve decided to knit something for MIL since I hardly get to see her. I hope she’ll like this shawl

Pattern: Flower Basket Shawl Shawl by Evelyn A. Clark
Yarn: 1 skein of The Knittery Merino Slim Sock in Autumn
Needles: 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm
I got my sister to model it for me this time around. Lastly, so sorry for the lack of updates lately. As you can see, I’ve been busy knitting

A colleague of mine recently celebrated her 30th birthday. Of course, what other better gifts than to give her a hand knitted shawl!! Although it’s going to be a belated birthday present, I’m sure she won’t mind that
.

Pattern: Springtime Bandit by Kate Gagnon Osborn
Yarn: 1 skein of Handmaiden Fine Yarn Casbah Sock in Ocean
Needles: 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm
I suddenly find it so funny that I knitted the “Springtime Bandit” during the spring season!!
Ok, that’s not really that funny right?

Finally I got to knit a shawl for myself!!! As you can see, I love wearing the shawl around my neck and this is the perfect pattern as it isn’t too big. The pattern and the yarn itself is like a perfect match made in heaven
. I also added some beads towards the last chart just to sparkle it up a little
.

Pattern: Milkweed Shawl by Laura Chau
Yarn: 1 skein of Handmaiden Fine Yarn Casbah Sock in Moss
Needles: 4 mm and 5 mm
I really love knitting with this yarn. It was the first time that I’ve used this yarn and it is absolutely divine. It’s so soft to the touch and the colour is just so rich. Hmm, I just realised that the last two FOs are also shawls!! What’s happening???
