Shopping and Knitting Makes Me Happy

Ah, the post title says it all  . Shopping and knitting really makes me very happy. I popped into Portmans again with my colleague as she wanted to get some work pants and when I saw this vest, I had to buy it. Why??? Original price is $79.95 and it’s being reduced to $19.95!!! What a great bargain!!! And most importantly, I think I look good in it!!

Navy/White Stripe Vest

As for Mrs. Darcy, I’ve decided to frog the top bits of the fronts and make it wider. I’ve already undo the sleeve cap seams and the shoulder seams and the frogging bit. So hopefully I’ll be able to fix this soon. :( First time I have to undo a FO. Sigh…

Shopping = Happy Girl

I’m sure most of you out there agree with me on this. Shopping = Happy Girl

Hehehehe. Anyway, I went down to Harbour Town today after my lunch break and after about 15 minutes, this is what I ended up getting  .

My Shopping Loot

My Shopping Loot

Well, I do have valid reasons to justify this mini shopping trip of mine  and they are:

  • I have a $50 Harbour Town Gift Voucher
  • Portmans is having 20% off storewide, including sale items
  • I need some new work clothes
  • All the tops I bought were only $9.95 before discount
  • It’s been 3 months since I last went shopping

There you go. All in all, after the I used the gift voucher, I only had to pay $5.84  . I’m a very happy girl indeed  .

Now, all I really want is a nice pair of pink heels!!! Have you looked at Ninewest latest catalogue??? I’m drooling!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful Rainbows

I still remember clearly the first time I saw a rainbow. I was roughly around 5-6 years old and I was playing at the playground in the kindergarten that I went to. It was a really teeny tiny rainbow. You can only see a small bit of it. Nevertheless, it made me very happy then. It’s not very often you get to see rainbows back in KL. Even if you do see one, you never get to see the whole rainbow from one end to the other because the sky is always full of clouds here and there.

However, when I went to Perth, I saw clear blue sky for the first time in my entire life. It was absolutely cloudless. It was so beautiful that I could almost just stare at it and get lost in my own thoughts. It never fails to amaze me how beautiful God’s creation is.

It was drizzling the whole day today as winter is drawing near. On my way home, I saw not one but two rainbows!! You can see a bit of the 2nd rainbow in the picture below. Sorry for the lousy quality as I took the picture with my phone camera. I had to do it really quickly at the red traffic light!! :yuck:

Double Rainbows

On another note, I found out that Ninewest was having their winter sale and that they’re having up to 50% off on selected styles. Well, I’ve been good. I didn’t went shopping last month so I suppose a gift for myself is not too bad :yuck:

I got myself a pair of Baneita in black. It is a stunning evening pump with pointed toe and 9cm stilletto heel, adorned with a satin upper and glitter embellishment. Original price was $129 and I only paid $59 today. Isn’t that a bargain??
