VISA’s Wedding

Remember I told you previously that I went back to Kuala Lumpur to attend my cousin brother, Vincent and Sandy’s wedding? I was really looking forward to that special occasion because it has been awhile since all the cousins (my Mum’s side) were together in one place especially with some of us here in Australia. So apart from it being their special day, it was also a huge family reunion :) .

Vincent and I were pretty close when we were growing up together as kids. I remember when we were little, we would play Barbie dolls together, and of course some boy toys too  . I always looked up to him as my big brother so when he told me he was planning his wedding, I knew I had to go back for his special day  .

One Happy Couple & I

Receiving Hongbao from the Newlyweds

In the Chinese tradition, after the tea ceremony, the newlyweds would normally give hongboas (red packets) to the younger unmarried cousins. Well, I got one hongbao from the newlyweds that day even though I’m already married!!!

Cousins Reunion

And finally, all of my grandmother’s grandchildren are together :) . Don’t you think my grandma is very cool wearing that hat?

Alas, that’s also the last day where I had my photos taken with my long hair because as you all know it, I’ve got short hair now!!!

The Gorgeous Sisters

Well, as you can see, my sister got a new haircut too She shaved part of her head!!!!! You will be able to see it a lot clearer in the next few photos and she’s really happy and excited with it because she had been waiting to get it shaved for at least 2 years now.

Sisterly Love

It was truly a very memorable weekend for all of us. To be honest with you, it probably has been more than 9 years since all of us cousins were together. Therefore, it was definitely a night to remember.

My dearest cousins, although we may never see each other very often now, I just want you all to know that you all will always be in my heart. Love you all very much and I hope to see you all very soon!!!

A Short Europe Experience

It has been very quiet here for awhile as I’ve been away for holidays and since I came back, I’ve been really really busy at work, playing catch up. The normal price to pay for going away on holidays  .

Anyway, where have I been? Well, Tian and I finally went on our dream holiday to Europe, together with my family  . We visited 6 countries in 11 days 8 nights as we followed a package tour. We went to France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium and England. The holiday was great even though it was a little hectic but Europe is absolutely amazing!!!!

As there are way too many photos, I’ve only picked out a few to post. If you wish to see more, feel free to click on the Facebook Album links below ;-) .

First stop was Paris and we did a lot of sight seeings. Can’t miss the Arch De Triomphe, the Louvre and of course the Eiffel Tower.

Next stop was Switzerland and it was one of our favourites!!! The scenery there is just absolutely beautiful!!!!

Wooden Chapel Bridge- Lucerne

The Lion Monument - Lucerne

We went up to Mount Titlis and boy of boy it was freezing cold as you can see from the photo below!!! I didn’t get to spent too much time playing in the snow as I wasn’t feeling 100% at that time and my husband was afraid I’ll catch cold!!!!

Biggest Cuckoo Clock - Titisee

Then we traveled to Amsterdam where there highlights were waterbus cruise along the canals, Diamond Factory, Clog Factory and Cheese Factory. Tian absolutely loves the cheese there and I absolutely love the diamonds there but alas, we can only afford to buy cheese  .

Wooden Clogs - Amsterdam

Now, when we arrive in Brussels, I had high expectations of the Cheeky Manneken Pis. However, when I saw it in real life, OMG it was so small???????????????? I expected the statue to be a lot bigger!!!!

Our last stop was in London and boy do I love London!!!!! Love the taxis, buildings, shopping, everything!!!!

It’s a shame the holiday ended too quickly but hopefully someday, I’ll be able to visit Europe again. Here’s the rest of the photos if you wish to have a browse :)
