Mixture of Emotions

The past few days was really hot and humid. Right now, it’s still about 28 degrees Celcius. I think I’m going to sleep in the living room tonight with the air-con on. Anyway, since summer is still here, I thought I’d knit another top so that I can wear it out and I managed to finish it within less than two weeks too!!

Summertime Tunic

Too Big?

Sadly, as you can see, it seems a little too big on me, although my gauge was spot on and I knitted the smallest size too!! Oh well, I’ve decided to give this to her (lucky her!!! ) and I’ll probably make another one for myself, maybe next year. Also, this is my first time knitting with Debbie Bliss Cotton DK. However, I don’t think I’ll be buying this yarn next time. I found two knots in a ball, in at least two balls and some have at least a knot. Not happy at all.

Pattern: Summertime Tunic from Interweave Knits, Summer 2007
Yarn: 7 balls of Debbie Bliss Cotton DK
Needles: 3.5 mm and 4 mm

The Birthday Boy

On another note, it was Momo’s birthday on the 31st January. He turned four years old this year. Since it was a Thursday (night shopping), I thought I’d rushed home, feed them and go out quickly to get a nice present for him. I bought him a Kong Wubba toy and a pig’s ear as a treat. I was really in a happy mood until I reached home.

   I found one of my shoes, the heel part was bitten. One of them spoilt my shoes. Aaarrrggghhh!!! I forgot to put my shoes in the cupboard because I was rushing to go out to get his presents!!! And worst of all, I’ve no idea who did it!! Who’s the naughty one!! Who’s the culprit? Momo or Coco? Both of them were hiding under the dining table. Both got spanked on their butts. Ignore them for the rest of the night. Was meant to celebrate his birthday.   I was soooooo upset and angry at the same time.

Momo’s Pressies

Sigh  I couldn’t really stay mad at them for long. Before I go to bed, I gave him his Kong Wubba, and he hug it to sleep.

Green Apple Razor Cami

Since it can get pretty hot here in Australia during summer (maximum temperature I’ve ever experienced is 44 degree Celcius on Boxing Day), I thought a knitted tank top would be nice. Lately, I’d very much prefer to wear knitted tops compare to normal t-shirts. I guess I will have to knit more??

Green Apple Razor Cami

My Razor Cami

Pattern: Razor Cami
Yarn: 3 and 1/4 balls of Knit Picks Shine Sport (Green Apple)
Needles: 3.75 mm

Since I have 4 skeins of the Knit Picks Shine Sport that was given to me by my SP9, the yardage was just enough for this cami. Anyway, this is the first time I’ve knitted with Knit Picks yarn and I actually quite like it. Too bad they don’t ship overseas. Oh well.

Project 40: Ms. Marigold

Pattern: Ms. Marigold
Yarn: 2 balls of Bendigo Harmony in Rose (pink) and 1/2 ball of Bendigo Harmony in Mimosa (yellow)
Needles: 3.75 mm Addi Turbos and 3.25 mm circular needles

I’ve just cast on for this project a few days ago after much persuasion from Yin as we were suppose to have it as our private KAL. Both of us are knitting the top in stripes. Well, I have knitted up to Part D now for the front left section so I hope I am catching up!!! Maybe, I can knit it faster than her?? Hehehe! It’ll be a race then!!

As I’ve told you all that I’ve moved to my new house, the train rides are much longer to last time, as my station is at the end of the line. Therefore, I get quite amount of knitting time everyday on my way to work. So I’m definitely not complaining!! :yuck:

Anyway, the yarn is really nice to knit as it’s my first time knitting with Bendigo Harmony. Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish this soon as the top is just nice for the coming weather. Summer!!!!!!
