Surprisingly, I’m not referring to food at all this time around. The nights are going to get very chilly the next few days since it’s not going to rain. I heard on the radio earlier that it will reach a minimum of 5 degrees or less tonight. Being a knitter myself, I’ve always try to keep warm by wearing my own hand knitted goodies. It is a very satisfying feeling, to be able to wear my own hand knitted clothes.

A few days ago, I managed to finish knitting a vest for myself. Saw the pattern on knitty quite some time ago but never gotten around to knitting it since it’s always hard to find worsted weight yarns in Australia. However, things have change since Bendigo Woollen Mills recently introduced their new range of yarns called Luxury. I got myself a few balls of this new yarn in 10 ply and decided to knit Talia for myself.

Pattern: Talia
Yarn: 1.35 skeins of Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 10 Ply (Ghost)
Needles: 5.5 mm

I’m really happy with this vest and it was really simple to knit too!! Since I knitted it in a light grey/silver colour, it is really easy to match with other clothes . Definitely another plus point for this.

I also managed to fininsh a scarf yesterday. This is the first scarf I’ve knitted this year. Haha. I still remember when I first started knitting, all I ever knit were scarves but it has actually been ages since I last knitted a scarf. Anyway, I got this yarn from Spotlight a few months back when it was on special. Since it’s a striped yarn, it is destined to be an entrelac project. I love how each squares seem to be of a different colour due to the entrelac technique. As I was knitting the scarf, my sister saw how “pretty” it was turning out to be and said to me, “We share this scarf ok?”

Pattern: Danica
Yarn: 3 skeins of Moda Vera Fauna (Retro)
Needles: 5 mm

Anyway, Coco wants to say something before I end this post .
