A Cheerful Wet Weekend

It has been pouring almost every single day in Perth. And it will remains wet and windy for the rest of the week based on the weather forecast. Most of the time, I always feel gloomy when it’s pouring really hard and I’m all alone at home. However, the moment I see the rainbow after the storms clear, it never fails to bring a smile to my face. :D

Now, enough of my gibberish. I made some muffins beginning of this week and I’ve been eating them every single day as my breakfast. They’re really simple and yummy bacon and mushrooms savoury muffins. :P

Also, thanks to the good programs on TV during the weekend, I’m proud to say that I’ve been knitting quite a bit. I’m so happy that I finally finished knitting the sleeves for Leo!! Yay!!! However, the downside is that right now, I have to attempt the dreadful seaming. I’m really really not good with seaming!!! This is the part I hate to tackle the most!! What if I didn’t seam properly? It’ll all go to waste!!! :dead: :dead: :dead:

Leo Sleeves

Lastly, we had our City Nits yesterday and I did bring back some yummy stuff. Hehehe. Wanna know what I brought home?? Okok. I shall stop teasing you all. First, I’ve got 10 skeins of Noro Silk Garden for my Mum. Yeap. Please read that again. I repeat, it’s for my Mum. Therefore, it’s not consider my stash!! My Mum fell in love with the Lady Eleanor pattern so I decided to buy her some Noro so that she can knit one for herself. Hmmm…actually, if I have time, I should knit that for her right? Wouldn’t that be a lot nicer?? And all of you all would say that I’m such a good daughter?? :yuck:

Secondly, they’re my first batch of sock yarns from Socks That Rock!! Yay!!! :D :D :D I’ve heard so much about them I had to get some of them for myself!! However, I did get a shock especially when I saw how the colours of “Sherbet” turned up!! They didn’t look like what I saw on the screen!!! It has shocking pink, orange and yellow!!! A lot brighter that I imagine!!! I hope it’ll turn out ok once it’s being knitted!!! The other colour that I got is “Love In Idleness“Anyway, can’t wait to knit them into some lovely socks!!

Ups and Downs

My FH has already flew back to work in Kalgoorlie and I won’t be seeing him for another 7 weeks. :( I know we’ll be apart for a very looooooong time but I have my furry babies and knitting to keep me company. Yes, my knitting has resumed and progress has been slow and steady. However, before we move into my knitting progress, do look at what Mr. Postman has brought me today?

Two Packages

There are two packages and the big box is a package from my SP 10 and I’ve been waiting for this package for more than a week already and I’m superly duperly excited!! Would you look at all the yummy goodies that’s inside the box?? :P

Lots of Yummy Goodies

Firstly, there’s two beautiful skeins of Hand Jive Knits Nature’s Palette Yarn, Fingering Weight in Seafoam colour. I haven’t really thought what I’m going to knit with this yarn yet, but most probably it will either be a pair of socks or a shawl.

A few weeks ago, I bought some Rowan All Seasons Cotton Print from Cucumber Patch. It was on auction and I cant help it as it was a very good bargain and shipping is free too!!! I also bought some Katia Samoa for Mum too.

Back To Knitting

It’s been a wonderful 2 weeks since BF came home and we spend lots of great time together. He’s gone back to work on Monday and I won’t see him till 6 weeks later. Oh well. Back to knitting!! :P

First stop, I have a really long overdue FO that was finished like weeks ago but I often forgot to post about it. Have worn it to work twice already  It’s the lace panel sweater, my first ever knitted sweater!!!

Lace Panel Sweater

Pattern: Lace Panel Sweater from Jo Sharp Knit Issue 2
Yarn: Rowan All Seasons Cotton (Purr)
Needles: 5.0 mm and 5.5 mm Addi Turbos

Next is Leo. I finally knitted my first swatch, ever and I got the right gauge!! Haha. Therefore, I’m knitting Leo using 4 mm with my Knit Picks Options needle. I absolutely love them!!

Lastly, the lovely lady at Gentle Ethereal Musings gave me some really soft merino lace yarn in Citrus colour from Handpaintedyarn.com.

Three Packages In One Day

My BF rang me today and let me know that I have not one but three packages waiting at home for me. Hmm. I was ecstatic!! Couldn’t wait to go home as I was at work!! :yell: :yell: :yell:

Anyway, the first that that I do when I went home was not to prepare dinner but took all three packages, my camera, a pair of scissors and lock myself in the living room. You see, there’s a door separating the living room (more like a home theater) from the rest of the house. Anyway, here are the packages in all it’s glory!! :D

3 Packages

This is Rowan Polar yarn (which has already been discontinued) in Fizzle colour that I’ve bought from Cucumber Patch. It comes with free shipping. Who can miss a bargain like that!! Am planning to knit a bolero with it. Not sure which pattern yet as I have two on my mind. It’s either gonna be the Clour Bolero again or this one. I can’t make up my mind. What do you reckon?

Rowan Polar

The next package is a private swap between me and Hoi Yan, who was my spoiler in SP9. She has sent me lots of goodies!!! There’s ten skeins of Debbie Bliss Cotton DK in Teal colour, two skeins of Online sock yarns (they’re for my mum), a copy of Knitscene, lots of yummy chocolates and a nice card.

Private Swap

My first package from my SP10 has also arrived!! Thank you so much!!! That was really fast shipping!! I received an email from her last week telling me that she has posted my package. Can’t believe I have already received it within a week and she’s all the way from US!! She’s got me six skeins of the Sugar’n Cream cotton yarns!! How lovely is that!! I’ve always wanted to try these yummy cottons!!! There’s also a set of lovely stationaries (I think it’s envelopes and letter papers) in pink, a copy of Interweave Knits (although I already have that copy as I’m a subscriber, please don’t feel bad about this SP!!), a packet of M&Ms and some tic tacs!!

Once again, thank you so much SP!!!
