A Cheerful Wet Weekend

It has been pouring almost every single day in Perth. And it will remains wet and windy for the rest of the week based on the weather forecast. Most of the time, I always feel gloomy when it’s pouring really hard and I’m all alone at home. However, the moment I see the rainbow after the storms clear, it never fails to bring a smile to my face. :D

Now, enough of my gibberish. I made some muffins beginning of this week and I’ve been eating them every single day as my breakfast. They’re really simple and yummy bacon and mushrooms savoury muffins. :P

Also, thanks to the good programs on TV during the weekend, I’m proud to say that I’ve been knitting quite a bit. I’m so happy that I finally finished knitting the sleeves for Leo!! Yay!!! However, the downside is that right now, I have to attempt the dreadful seaming. I’m really really not good with seaming!!! This is the part I hate to tackle the most!! What if I didn’t seam properly? It’ll all go to waste!!! :dead: :dead: :dead:

Lastly, we had our City Nits yesterday and I did bring back some yummy stuff. Hehehe. Wanna know what I brought home?? Okok. I shall stop teasing you all. First, I’ve got 10 skeins of Noro Silk Garden for my Mum. Yeap. Please read that again. I repeat, it’s for my Mum. Therefore, it’s not consider my stash!! My Mum fell in love with the Lady Eleanor pattern so I decided to buy her some Noro so that she can knit one for herself. Hmmm…actually, if I have time, I should knit that for her right? Wouldn’t that be a lot nicer?? And all of you all would say that I’m such a good daughter?? :yuck:

Secondly, they’re my first batch of sock yarns from Socks That Rock!! Yay!!! :D :D :D I’ve heard so much about them I had to get some of them for myself!! However, I did get a shock especially when I saw how the colours of “Sherbet” turned up!! They didn’t look like what I saw on the screen!!! It has shocking pink, orange and yellow!!! A lot brighter that I imagine!!! I hope it’ll turn out ok once it’s being knitted!!! The other colour that I got is “Love In Idleness“Anyway, can’t wait to knit them into some lovely socks!!

Muffins & Yarns

There isn’t much knitting for the past two weeks. Why? FH is back and I’ve been spending most of my free time with him :D . He’s going back to work this coming Monday for 7 weeks this time. I’m going to miss him heaps. Oh well, there will be more knitting contents then. Anyway, I baked some kiwi muffins after being inspired by my mum and here’s the end results.

Kiwi Muffins

A few weeks ago, I bought some Rowan All Seasons Cotton Print from Cucumber Patch. It was on auction and I cant help it as it was a very good bargain and shipping is free too!!! I also bought some Katia Samoa for Mum too.

Baking I Hear?

A few weeks ago, I bought myself a Breville Wizz Mix Professional in pistachio colour. As mum came to visit me on Good Friday, there has been lots of teaching and learning in the kitchen area.

Last Friday, Yin came over to my house and the three of us made some bread dough and they turn into these beautiful bread rolls. We ran out of a few ingredients and we had to improvised a little. But nevertheless, they still turn out yummy. Mind you, it was my first time baking!!

Red Cray

Last Thursday, Tian took me to the Red Cray - Seafood & Grill Restaurant. We have wanted to go there for ages but due to our different working schedule, we find it hard even to find time to have a decent meal together. Anyway, it was a nice place with good ambience and the food was simply mouth watering. Shall say no more as word can’t describe how yummy they are. We forgot to take picture of our entree as we were too busy enjoying it!! By the way, we had Garlic Prawns for entree and they are King Prawns lightly pan-fried in a creamy garlic sauce, served with basmati rice. Sounds delicious isn’t it? Pictures speak for themselves, although some of the photos aren’t very clear as I snapped them using my mobile phone.

A Happy Weekend

I feel I had quite a good and productive weekend. Firstly, went out and catch up with some friends that I haven’t really talked to for quite awhile. We had Korean dinner and bubble tea later on. Played Taboo and Rummy-o too!! We had a blast and it was good fun!! Apart from some of the conversation where the topics were abit…erm…disgusting (we were talking about toilets and related stuff :dead: ).

I also did a lot of knitting as in I knitted ALOT of rows and Momo’s coat is progressing very nicely. I’ve just finished shaping the side edges and I’m just going to continue knitting until it reaches the base of his tail. Well…so far so good!! No hiccups (yet!!) :-P.

After Shaping Side Edges

I also cook roast for the second time a couple of days ago!! Well…I didn’t take any pictures the first time around as I always feel that the first time isn’t always that presentable. But I hope the second time around, will makes your mouth water!! :-P
